Welcome to the Portal of the National Office of Electronic Government and Information Technology (ONGEI) of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM)!

The National Office of Electronic Government and Information Technology (ONGEI) is the Specialized Technical Authority reporting directly to the Office of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM). ONGEI, as lead agency of the National System of Informatics, is responsible for leading projects, regulations, and various activities in Electronic Government by the State. Among its ongoing activities are those related to information technology standards, security of information, development of flagship projects in information and communications technology (ICT), provide technical advice and information to public bodies, as well as offer training and dissemination on issues of Electronic Government and the modernization and decentralization of government.

The ONGEI also is responsible for the administration of various portals of the state, among which are the Portal of the Peruvian State (PEP), Portal senior level state, which constitutes the interactive information system to citizens via the Internet; Portal Citizen Services and Business (PSCE), the Portal of the Committee on Development of the Information Society (CODESI), among others.

The Electronic Government, as defined by the United Nations (UN), is the use of information and communications technology (ICT), by the State, to provide services and information to citizens, increase efficiency and efficiency of public administration, and to substantially increase public sector transparency and citizen participation.
